Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes.

Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman in this epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's superhero trilogy. Set eight years after the events of 'The Dark Knight' (2008), Batman must save Gotham City from the evil schemes of brutal terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy) and his enigmatic sidekick Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). However, Batman's ability to act as an avenging angel is curtailed by the fact that he is now on Gotham City Police Department's Most Wanted list, having assumed responsibility for the crimes of deceased District Attorney Harvey Dent.

The cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.
